Grilled Honey Chipotle Pork Chops

These Grilled Honey Chipotle Pork Chops have a sweet and smokey flavor that tantalizes the taste buds. Great summer recipe to make on the grill or try them in the oven during the colder winter months.

Sometimes recipes just happen by chance. Or make themselves up as I go along. When I decided to grill some beautiful pork sirloin chops I found on sale, I decided to sprinkle on seasonings that would complement the Green Chile Mac & Cheese recipe I was making (tip: instead of velveeta, use a creamy cheese like fontina plus a sharper cheese like cheddar). On impulse I pulled my jar of fajita seasoning mix out of the pantry and began to rub the spices into the meat.

As I rubbed, my mind was thinking it needed something else and next thing I know I’m pulling out the Chipotle Tabasco. I love this stuff. Its spicy smokey flavor adds pizzazz to lots of dishes and sauces. However, I knew the Tabasco would be too spicy for the majority of my family if I brushed it on straight.

So I mixed Chipotle Tabasco with some raw honey to to sweeten it up an make a mouthwatering finishing sauce.

It goes like this:

  • Rub pork sirloin with fajita seasoning
  • Grill 5-6 minutes on each side or bake in oven 15-20 minutes or until cooked throughout
  • Brush with honey chipotle sauce and finish 1 minutes each side (or under the broiler)

Grilled Honey Chipotle Pork Chops are definitely a keeper for my tried and true recipe binder! You might also check out my Honey and Garlic Pork Ribs recipe which is also part of my Aldi Meal Plan.
