How to Save Money on Toilet Paper

Hubs smirks a little every time I buy toilet paper.

Maybe it’s because our bath tissue gets delivered by the UPS man. And of course there’s the fact that it comes in a HUGE box. The first time it was delivered, Hubs and the kids were all excited about what kind of awesomeness was in the big box. Imagine their delight disgust when it turned out to be nothing but TP. **muah ha ha ha**

But I was overjoyed!! Not only have I found that ordering our toilet paper from Amazon is the least expensive way to go, but I only have to bother with it once every three months or so.

I just ordered today. Let me show you how I do it.

::First I search for bath tissue in Health & Personal Care on Amazon.

::Then I narrow down the search to only those brands of bath tissue we like to use. In this case, it’s Cottonelle, Quilted Northern or Charmin. You can’t see it on the image below, but I also scroll down a bit and click the “subscribe & save” category.

amazon-tp-search::Then I peruse the search page for the least expensive deal with a Subscribe & Save option. Not only does this save  a little extra money but 2-day shipping is always free with Subscribe & Save.

::I also check the page to see if there are any available coupons to clip.

Check out this deal I scored last week:

Amazon: Quilted Northern Toilet Paper

Quilted Northern Ultra Plush Bath Tissue, 48 Double Rolls is priced at $23.94 (that’s $0.50 per double roll).

There was also a coupon available to save $0.75. I clicked “clip coupon” to gain access to this discount and that brought my subtotal down to $23.19 (that’s like paying $0.48 per double roll).

Amazon: Save $0.75 off Quilted Northern

There’s also a Subscribe and Save ordering option that gave me an additional 5%  (or $1.20) savings, dropping my subtotal to just $21.99. That’s like paying just $0.46 per double roll!

Amazon: Quilted Northern

By ordering through Amazon, you don’t even have to leave the house, not to mention buy toilet paper for quite awhile.

If you choose not to continue with Subscribe & Save deliveries, just login to your Amazon account and click on “Your Subscribe & Save Items”. You can cancel anytime after your delivery ships.

The cool thing is that Subscribe & Save applies to lots of other products besides toilet paper (including food and diapers). Just look for prices lower than what you would normally pay at the store and take advantage of this easy way to save without clipping coupons.
